About Commissioner Lehmann Morales
Dieter is a proud District of Columbia Public Schools teacher, teaching World History to 10th graders at a high school in Columbia Heights, where he’s been for 4 years. He’s also advised the Model United Nations and Debate teams at the high school. Dieter, a proud union member, has also served in leadership roles at the Washington Teachers’ Union and with the DC Latino Caucus and the Ward One Democrats. The elected Commissioner for Single Member District 1A02 since 2021, Dieter is also a former Chair of Advisory Neighborhood Commission 1A.
Dieter holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree in Global Affairs from New York University.
